Campaign Story

Hey there!
We are Adrian and Rebekuh: Two completely imperfect people who found the perfect love in one-another.

From go, we made a connection that has seen us through it all. We’ve combated poverty, opened a business, sought higher education, and adopted a dog (in additionto one Rebekuh had prior to the relationship).

From the outside looking in, our history seems perfect. Reality, however, is that every 3 steps forward are followed by 2 steps back. 3 years into our fairytale, Rebekuh was diagnosed with uterine cancer, at 28 years old. After surviving severe domestic violence, overcoming PTSD, and rising from those blackened ashes, the permanent infertility left in the wake of cancer has been Rebekuh’s greatest pain. Thankfully, July of last yesr marked 3 years cancer-free and the doctors have assured us there’s a very low likelylihood recurrence should darken our path

Despite the inability to carry a child of our own, we remain hopeful that a gestational surrogate will carry one of our frozen embryos (who we call “Maybe Babies,”). With her help, we have the chance to fill our home with the warmth and laughter of a family.

If you are able to donate, we would be eternally grateful, and all funds would go directly to the process of gestational surrogacy, through a reputable agency helping in this process. If unable to donate, please send us your best wishes and/or prayers, and thank you for taking the time to read our story.

We appreciate you!

Jan 16, 2023. Already so grateful

Although we are in the first days of our campaign, we have already been rallied around by friends, family, and strangers who support our love story and desire to build a family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for putting us at 4.5% of our goal in only 3 DAYS!!! Bless you all and may your homes be filled with joy, as we are today. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    February 4, 2023. Embryo Transfer!!

    Hello Everyone!!

I want to share some exciting news! So far, we are able to afford the financial costs related to embryo transfer. That means that your donations, thus far, have been enough to:
    1. Defrost our maybe-baby.
    2. Pay for the clinician and operating room fees to transfer the embryo into the womb of our potential Gestational Carrier.
This is, of course, a majorly important step in the process. We are so energized, excited, and grateful for your help! Thank you for continuing to share and donate.

    Thank you!!!

February 14th, 2023. Happy Valentines Day! 6% of goal!

    Hi everyone!

Today marks 30 days since Adrian and I first shared our compaign. Thanks to friends, family, and even a stranger or 2, we have acheived 6% of our goal!!! Some of this through direct deposit and some through the fundraiser.

As I mentioned previously, that is enough to cover the cost of the embryo transfer! Although there\\\\\\\\'s a long way to go until we could potentially cover agency fees, legal fees, the cost of medications for the surrogate, health insurance costs, or the surrogates overall compensation, we can at least see the beginning.

We are so thankful, because we have found so much support where we least expected it and it is humbling and gratifying to see that so many people hope for a family for us.

We know that the economy is unfriendly right now. We also know that uncertain times make us nervous about sharing, for fear that tomorrow we will be left without. So, to those who share, we recognize that it is not easy and we honor and thank you for doing so.

Please know that we are actively working toward this goal at home, too, and not simply hoping for gand outs. We are working to identify alternate sources of income, we are adding cash to our savings, and we are modifying some of our long-term investments to redirect funds to this cause. We know that we will end up taking out a large loan (after all, this process will cost roughly $150,000), but every penny that we can pull together with your support will put us that much closer to:

    The first cry…
    The first skin to skin…
The first obsessive review of every finger and toe and earlobe… ❤?

All moments we have witnessed for others and yearned for, ourselves. Thank you. REALLY! Thank you ❤
